01/08/2008 New "Memory Leak" detection feature and more...

A new Remote Analyst feature now enables users to easily identify processes which increasingly allocate memory. These processes, often due to programming errors, will have an adverse effect on system performance. Remote Analyst can now be used to easily identify these processes, thereby preventing system overloads and possible performance degradation.

Several new navigational features also enhance user experience while accessing the site. Threshold & Alert setting have also been enhanced to offer more flexibility. To learn more, access www.remoteanalyst.com.
11/16/2007 Remote Analyst: Load Balancing and CPU Failure Analysis added.

This release introduces two exciting new features: Load Balancing and CPU Failure Analysis. Load Balancing allows users to do process move simulations wherein they can pick an interval, move around processes across CPUs, and check out the before and after scenarios. Also included is an automatic 'Recommend' feature wherein Remote Analyst makes process move recommendations so as to optimally balance your system. The accompanying charts include the per-CPU high and low activity down to the minute, as well as the per-CPU memory consumption.

CPU Failure Analysis can be accessed from the Walkthrough screen and allows users to simulate CPU failure scenarios. They can see which processes were impacted and how the failed CPU's load was distributed across the remaining CPUs.

In addition, users can now also schedule Storage (Allocation and Capacity) reports to be sent out on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly or yearly basis.
06/15/2007 Version H01AAP of Web Viewpoint (H-series) is released for General Availability.

Users can assign severity levels to alerts and set notification preferences to receive alert information along with the reports that they receive via email as soon as new data is loaded.

The Walkthrough screen has been enhanced to show both, the 'Per CPU' as well as the 'Hi-Lo' charts at the same time for easy comparison. In addition, a new process search capability has been tied to the walkthrough wherein users can search the top 50 processes per CPU, per interval. This will allow users to quickly nail down the processes contributing to the CPU activity.
06/04/2007 Version V05AAO of Web Viewpoint (G-series) is released for General Availability.

Click here for additional information and/or download an Evaluation copy of this package.
03/26/2007 Walkthrough feature is added to Remote Analyst.

A new Walkthrough feature allows Remote Analyst users to review their CPU utilization against a back drop of Disk IO or Transaction rates. This feature pinpoints the relationship between business transactions and use of CPU resources. It also highlights whether CPU usage is at or near threshold at any time during a business period.

"What if" analysis feature is also enhanced to take Disk IO and Transaction rate factors into its analysis. This provides users with a more complete view of the effects additional business activity and/or CPU upgrade may have on their environment.
